Hans Christian Anderson

Born 02. April 1805 in Odense/Denmark
Died 04. August 1875 in Copenhagen/Denmark

Son of a poor shoemaker and often unable to attend school.
His father sadly died when Hans was only 11.
With 14 he moved to Copenhagen, dreaming to become a singer,
but ended up writing instead, with as many as 350 stories
to his now world famous name.

Many travels, mainly to Germany

Famous for his beautiful fairy-tales such as:
~ The Ugly Duckling ~
~ The Princess and the Pea ~
~ The little Mermaid ~
~ Thumbelina ~
to name all but a very few.....
